Cassie Hawkins is a photographer and ceramic artist who frequently enjoys combining the two mediums. After obtaining two Bachelor of Fine Art degrees in photography and ceramics from the University of Georgia, she received her MFA in photography from the San Francisco Art Institute. She has exhibited at national venues from the east coast to the west coast. She was awarded scholarships, academic achievement awards, and artist awards from the San Francisco Art Institute, the University of Georgia, Georgia State University, and United States Senator Perdue amongst others. Her work has been published in books, magazines, catalogs, and websites. Cassie currently teaches photography and ceramic classes in Athens, Georgia after recently moving from Los Angeles where she worked as a photographer and taught photography and ceramic classes for nine years.
